Part Time Company Accountant - Stow-On-The-Wold - £25-30,000 pro rata

Trial Balance Consulting are delighted to have been reassigned by a past client, a highly successful internet retail business who, due to continued expansion, now seek to recruit an experienced Company Accountant to head up their finance function. This is a permanent, part time role ideally working over a flexible four-day week (one day to be office based and the remaining can be home based as per the successful candidates’ preference). The company will provide all required IT equipment to work from both home and office.   

This is an interesting and varied opportunity where the successful candidate will have the autonomy to develop the function for maximum efficiency as turnover rapidly approaches £2M. The role responsibilities will entail taking a primary lead in all aspects of the company accounting, management accounting, statutory reporting, accounts payable and receivable, payroll, reconciliations, VAT computations and preparing onsite accounts for external review. 

First and foremost, we’re looking for an experienced individual who can hit the ground running. You’ll ideally (though not essentially) be AAT qualified but relevant experience is the principle focus on this occasion. You’ll need a good aptitude for modern accounting procedures and ideally have experience in the use of cloud-based platforms (this business utilises Xero software). It is essential that the successful candidate possesses the ability to work unsupervised, but also as part of a small, friendly and energetic team.
