Finance Analyst x 2 - Gloucester - £35-38,000
Trial Balance Consulting are delighted to have been reassigned by our longstanding client, a hugely successful and rapidly expanding services business operating across almost 20 locations within the southwest & home counties. The business continues to grow at a rapid pace and their management team are eagerly preparing for continued expansion.
With a recently appointed Head of Finance (an individual well known to Trial Balance), the finance function has been modernised, strengthened and improved. As part of an ongoing recruitment drive in this area they now seek to appoint two experience Finance Analyst’s. These are pivotal roles that will support the Head of Finance an ensure the effective operations of both centralised and shared service functions. The successful Finance Analyst's will ensure statutory compliance with financial and legal regulations whilst operating the company’s strict code of practice and reporting.
These are key roles within the business and will provide key support to the senior management team and produce business critical management information. Other key responsibilities to include:
- Analysis of management accounts and budget reports
- Production of internal/external benchmarking content
- Highlighting of areas of potential risk
- Compilation and submission of statutory reports
- Reviewing monthly VAT reports and coordination HMRC submissions
- Reviewing and consolidation of budgets
We’re seeking candidates with at least two years of relevant, recently gained exposure within an analysis orientated role. We are less concerned with sector experience and welcome applications from all industry sectors; private, public, and not for profit. Candidates will ideally, though not essentially hold a full professional qualification (ACA/ACCA/CIMA), though we have been asked to prioritise technical experience so QBE welcome. Strong IT aptitude and sound MS Excel skills essential. The role can be flexibly based remotely, at the company HQ in Gloucester and ad-hoc across the various business sites.
