recruitment options

Temporary placement (Cont): There is no contract binding between your business and the candidate, neither are they included on your payroll. Trial Balance pays the candidate and invoices you at regular intervals. We would stress that temporary recruitment is generally not as cost effective as contract, particularly over a longer period of time (we would suggest one month as a limit).

For obvious reasons, temporary candidates can be a little trickier to find as the majority are already in permanent or contract based employment and short term assignments with no realistic end date can have limited appeal. Trial Balance will be happy to arrange the transfer of a temporary candidate to a client’s payroll, either on a contract or permanent basis at any time.

Contract placement: For contracts lasting anything more than two-three weeks, and ideally with a clear end date, Trial Balance would normally recommend a contract placement. As a client, you agree to take the successful candidate onto your company payroll for an agreed period of time, and when this time comes to an end; both candidate and client are released from the contract.

Trial Balance will charge a one-off fee for a contract based candidate, which will be calculated on a pro-rata percentage of their salary. Generally this will result in a more cost effective assignment and candidates can be easier to locate. Again Trial Balance will be happy to facilitate the transfer of a candidate should the client decide to employ them on a permanent basis. Alternatively contracts can be renewed quite simply.
