Sometimes we ask a lot of questions, but it’s a worthwhile exercise and the results will speak for themselves. Once we’ve got a strong overview of the role and the type of candidate who will succeed, we’ll get cracking. Trial Balance has an extensive database of high quality accountancy staff currently interested in hearing about prospective roles, but before we speak with them we’ll drop everything to advertise the role on your behalf.
It’s important to understand that when we speak with prospective candidates, we discuss the vacancy at great length. This includes the disclosure of our client’s company, location and any other relevant information. We would never submit a CV without first telling them who the client is, and obtaining their full permission. We will also work hard to filter our shortlist so that you receive a manageable quantity of CVs.
We feel strongly about this because this is a value added service. If a client is to sit down and sift through dozens of irrelevant CVs, it’s a waste of their time and resources.
Once we have put together a suitable CV shortlist we’ll submit and take a step back; there is nothing worse than a pestering recruiter. At a later stage we will make contact to establish feedback on the CVs submitted. Once a client has decided which CVs may be of interest to them, we will arrange and prepare candidates for interview. Following interview, we will speak with candidates individually to fully assess their feedback. We speak with candidates first so that when we come back to our client, we can discuss feedback in full. It’s always productive to compare candidate’s afterthoughts with client’s comments as it assists in creating a strong match for the role. From this stage we are able to arrange subsequent interviews or move forward to the offer stage.
