Management Accountant - Dartmouth - £40-50,000 DOE 

Trial Balance Consulting have been exclusively re-engaged by one of our long-standing clients, an innovative manufacturing business with a highly sought-after product range. This business is often considered one of the market leaders in their field across the UK and Europe and we’re proud to have assisted them on numerous occasions as they’ve continued to grow.

This is a permanent and full-time role that will be based at the company’s Dartmouth HQ. Working as part of a highly experienced and friendly finance team, the successful candidate will enjoy a diverse role that participates in many areas of the accounting lifecycle, but with a core focus in the production of management accounts. Key responsibilities to include: 

- Assist in the production of monthly management accounts and associated reports

- Act as a key point of contact in the accounts receivable and accounts payable functions - generating invoices, sales contracts and monitoring debtors

- Assist with audit and year end preparation

- Preparing cashflow forecasts

- Multi currency bank reconciliations

- Maintenance of fixed asset register

- Day-to-day accounting using Xero, including looking for ways to improve processes and efficiencies.

- General ad hoc duties as required by the Finance Manager

For this role we seek an experienced candidate who can hit the ground running. Applicants may be professionally qualified (ACA/ACCA/CIMA), although those working towards a professional qualification or with relevant vocational experience (QBE) will also be considered. The successful candidate should possess good MS Excel skills and a strong aptitude for grasping modern accounting software (Xero experience would be desirable). Whilst strong technical accounting skills are obviously a given, our client has made strong emphasis on the importance of personable and team-working qualities.
